Vicky Kaushal has opened up about the loving bond he shares with his father Sham Kaushal and the actor has credited the veteran for being the emotional pillar of their family. The URI star revisited how his father didn't shy away crying in front of him after having a bad day on the sets as a stuntman and getting all the humiliation and scolding from the seniors. In an interview with We Are Yuvaa, Vicky Kaushal shared that his parents played a pivotal role in building resilience and catering a better upbringing for him and his brother Sunny, by always being open with them. He vividly remembered a moment from his childhood when his father, a stuntman, faced humiliation on a film set and didn't hide his emotions. 


The 35-year old recalled how, even when his father would shed tears in front of his mother, he would later approach them and honestly admit, "I cried to your mom today." The actor was proud of the fact that his father was a typical family man who always wanted to be strong emotionally. Taking a look at Vicky Kaushal's professional endeavours, he was most recently featured in the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, sharing the screen with Sara Ali Khan. Fans are eagerly anticipating his forthcoming projects, including Sam Bahadur, a biographical film centred on India's first-ever Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw and The Great Indian Family, a Yash Raj Films production. He tied the knot with actress Katrina Kaif back in 2021.
